Litecoin (LTC) will release a bank card in partnership with Bibox and Ternio. They have announced it in a blog post on June 18.
We know that several other companies have already rolled out debit cards in digital currency, such as Coinbase, which recently launched its Visa debit card in six European countries. The new Coinbase offer would allow users to spend cryptocurrency in any merchant who accepts Visa cards. Now, Litecoin is also in the game.
According to the announcement, Litecoin has announced that it is joining forces with the Estonian crypto-exchange Bibox and Ternio blockchain startup to offer its own debit card dedicated to cryptocurrency.
Then, DEX Bibox will be in charge of the custodian of user funds, Ternio will provide the platform dedicated to the management of bank cards, and the Litecoin Foundation will ensure the integration of the LTC BlockCard into the official wallet of Litecoin, the LoafWallet.
This collaboration will facilitate the payment of daily expenses with cryptocurrencies.
“This is an exciting partnership for us as it furthers the Litecoin Foundation’s mission to create more use cases for spending Litecoin in everyday life. Leveraging Ternio’s BlockCard platform with Bibox’s exchange engine gives Litecoin holders unparalleled access to use their LTC at merchants around the world.”: said the Foundation.
